Product Details

Absolutely insane vintage Wally Heider Recording Studio 1969 sage green and yellow short sleeve raglan sweatshirt. Wally Heider was an apprentice at Bill Putnam's United Western Recorders in the 60s when he decided to start his own studio. He got his start in Hollywood, then in '67, he assisted in the live recordings of the Monterey Pop Festival. Seeing all of these Bay Area artists who recorded strictly in NYC and LA, he saw the need for these groups to have a studio close to home. So in '69, he opened his studio on Hyde Street in San Francisco, where acts like Jefferson Airplane, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Crosby Stills Nash and Young, The Grateful Dead and more all recorded albums. This sweatshirt is believed to be from 1969, the year that Volunteers by Jefferson Airplane and Bad Moon Rising by CCR were recorded, just to name a few. No tag, fits a Large. Great vintage condition, has one hole near the collar and a few light stains throughout. This is an extremely rare and very important piece of rock and roll history; a true museum quality piece!

Pit to pit = 21.5"

Back collar to bottom = 26"
